Freedom: Is It Even A Thought? The Mindset Of A Freedom Crusader

Hey hey! Welcome back! You've got Mikey Aldo here for another post!

When is the last time you thought about freedom? 

What does freedom even mean to you?

This is an important topic today and I wanted to start this off with a quote that will get you motivated to live your best life. 

"Freedom Is The Oxygen Of The Soul" 

When you really think about freedom it is truly who we are at the core. We are designed to be as free as a bird. Even though society has us believing otherwise it is completely how we are suppose to be.

Some might agree?? 

Some Might disagree?? 

And that is how it will always be.

I believe for me freedom started off when I worked 12 years in a warehouse feeling trapped inside the four walls and being forced to work mandatory overtime, yes the money was great just not a satisfying feeling. 

Freedom is not about money. Freedom is about doing the things you want to do when you want to do them. One thing Michelle and I talk about is how we have traveled more and seen more of this world then most Millionaires! 

Take it for what it is freedom is going about your life the way you want and yes of course we all have to bow down to the requirements to society.. so in that case.. is there really any freedom? 

My answer is of course yes! And it starts in your mind. You can win at all things in your mind and with a strong mental attitude. That is exactly where it starts! In your mind. 

Your mind is the battle ground and your mind is the playground of all your future dreams and yes even freedom! 

So with that I want to hear about your freedom thought of the day.

Are you ready to do what takes with just a few different ideas? Yep I talk about that too in the video. 

Freedom is what you think it to be, you are a powerful person and I believe in you!

How Can You Travel More? Buying a Van and Building a Home

 Hello again my friend! Mikey is here with another blog post :) 

Thanks for coming back and checking in today. This is going to be a little insight into van travel and buying a van to travel in.

You might be interested in downsizing your life and seeing more of the world. With travel being a little restrictive lately you could also be thinking about traveling around in the country you live in. That is something we all can do.

The truth is that most think it is extremely difficult and very costly. I am here to tell you it is actually a lot easier than you think. If you have never thought about traveling before or if you can't imagine being without all that furniture and stuff in your house then this might be a stretch for you.

It took us a good 8-12 months to downsize and a little longer to get completely into the minimal life phase of what we are doing. It is a process but you can do it if you really want to.

Why van travel? What happened to RV travel?

For the first few years we were in our 32 foot travel trailer going around the United States and seeing some amazing sights. We actually did a lifetime of traveling and saw some amazing things just in our first year! 

Fast forward just a little bit after that and we wanted to downsize to something smaller to travel around in. At first we thought we wanted to go bigger and then when we really thought about it one of the biggest factors was that we wanted to go see an stay at amazing spots that are normally very difficult to fit a big trailer or fifth wheel in to. 

That is why we decided to do the van thing, First we were thinking of buying a camper van and saw how expensive they could be, or how old they were and then we saw people buying all different kinds of vans and building them out to meet their needs.

It was a long yet exciting process for sure! Even when we bought the van we knew we had a good amount of work ahead of us yet we were so excited about the process. There will always be hurdles to get over and challenges along the way no matter what you do in life and that is how this process was. It was a lot of learning as you go, making decisions, and hard work as far as building goes. It was fun to work together and create something that feels like a home. 

This has been an exciting time all around from day 1 to today traveling in the van and it becoming more and more of a home on wheels. Her name is Rosie and she has taken us on so many adventures and we truly love her inside and out.

Here is what the first day looks like when we started stripping the inside:

No matter what it is you would like to do as far as travel goes put the time into figuring out exactly these few things:

1. Where do you want to go?

2. How do you want to get there?

3. How much stuff are you attached to in your current life?

You first step might have to be downsizing all your stuff to see exactly what it is you need, don't need, can't live without, and can definitely live without. 

We knew we wanted to travel around the United State. Being from the Northeast we wanted to see more of the South and go out west. At first we thought a travel trailer or something of that kind would be best for us so that is what we decided to get as our first way of traveling.

After a little while we decided we really wanted to go more minimal and be able to see all the little nooks of this beautiful country. Maybe you want to do the same thing, maybe you are in a different country and would like to do the same thing. Figuring out exactly what you want to see and how you want to do it is the biggest step. 

Maybe you don't want to do it full time and you just want to get away for a little bit, that is something you need to consider as well. You don't have to do what we are doing you can easily travel any way you would like.

One other thing you might be thinking about is C19 and restrictions. All I can say on that is you have nothing to worry about as far as traveling the country goes. Again, we are in the US so have a pulse on what's going on where you live. There are some restrictions with C19 and we have been able to travel without any problems, it's actually easier to get places because most people aren't traveling now anyway. 

Either way try your best not to live in fear and start doing the things you want to do now. All we have is time and nothing else. If not now then when? That's the questions you really want to ask yourself.

Less Equals Having More With BeLoved Miracles

Hey friend! Welcome back to another blog post with me, Mikey Aldo!

Today there is something that I wanted to share about downsizing and how it can apply to you and your life as well.

My wife and I were featured on BeLoved Miracles TV in an interview about how having less is actually having more. First, is the video where you can learn more about how we went from having so much stuff to having less junk and more of what we actually wanted in life, and how you can too.

What makes your house a home? 

First house I purchased years ago was a mobile home, It was built on wheels. She was a classic all aluminum framed 24’ 1969 Boles Areo.  I lived in her full-time, she was my house and my home. 

My adventuresome “home on wheels.” “She” was not only where I showered, slept, ate and parked my belongings, she was my sanctuary.  Where my heart and soul felt at home.  I felt most at home, living lightly upon the earth.  

Something similar to the inspiring and interesting couple whose interview I am honoured to share with you today. Mike & Michelle quit their jobs, sold their house and all of their possessions.   Bought an RV (camping wagon, for those of us in Europe) said good-bye to all of their friends and family and hit the road.  

Traveling full-time around the country living the life of their dreams and paving a path for others who are interested to do the same. They believe that having less equals having more.  That life is not about material things but about having more time with each other.  

Time to love.  Having fun, creating, exploring and living life as the adventure it is.
